About us

Driven by purpose.
Rooted in impact.

We are a movement of changemakers, educators, doctors, and everyday citizens committed to building a more equal society.

A grassroots non-profit in Telangana

Smiles United Foundation is a registered non-profit working to uplift underserved women and children across Telangana. We unite compassionate individuals, professionals, and organizations to provide access to education, life skills, and inclusion for every child and mother in need.

We empower women, support children, and create access to education, dignity, and health for the communities that need it most. From slum classrooms to stage performances, every action here is aimed at creating space, dignity, and opportunity for those left behind.

Our vision

We envision a world where every woman and child is empowered with the right to education, dignity, and opportunity, regardless of their background or abilities.

A society where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and lead a dignified life.

Our mission

  • To educate and empower underprivileged women and children
  • To promote health, hygiene, and self-confidence
  • To support differently-abled children through inclusive programs
  • To create platforms for growth, recognition, and dignity
  • To foster a community of changemakers and volunteers

How we started

1

It began with a simple vision

To empower women and children with education, health, and opportunity.

2

And grew into a commitment

To create a future where every girl is educated, every woman is respected, and every child included.

3

Today, we are one community

Mobilizing support for the most underserved across Telangana.

4

And bringing change through

Girl education, health initiatives, community support, and dignity & recognition.

Dr. Chinmayee Tammareddy

Founder & President

“I want people to imagine what it would be like to grow up without basic support, education, safety, or even a voice. That’s the reality for countless women and children across our country.”

Founded by Dr. Chinmayee Tammareddy, the foundation is committed to empowering women and individuals with disabilities, fostering their development and integrating them into society.

She is a counselling psychologist, which is where our mental health and emotional wellbeing work comes from.

Work with us

Where our work goes

Girl Education

Skill-based classes, academic sponsorships, and lessons taught by subject experts, so girls stay in school.

Skill Development

Practical training and employability coaching, so what a girl learns in class turns into work she can be paid for.

Career Guidance

Career counselling and personality development sessions for girls deciding what to do after school.

Health & Hygiene

Menstrual health awareness sessions and sanitary napkin distribution. We go back to the same schools every month rather than visiting once.

Disability Support

Education support and inclusive programmes for specially abled children and women, run with their peers rather than in a separate group.

Mental Health & Wellbeing

Emotional wellbeing support and confidence-building, so a girl under strain at home does not fall behind at school.

Women’s Empowerment

Livelihood support, confidence-building, and public recognition for women who hold their families together with very little help.

Community Outreach

Volunteering in slums and government schools, cultural and sports events, and honouring local women and children who set an example.
